Scarlet Monastery is a dungeon with 4 wings that each require different levelsand setups depending on which one you are attempting. For the Cathedral wing, werecommend only attempting this with a group from Level 37 to 40 for the smoothestpossible run. This wing can be completed in under an hour.
The other wings are Scarlet Monastery: Armory,Scarlet Monastery: Graveyard, andScarlet Monastery: Library.
You can find out more about the instance and all of its wings in ourScarlet Monastery.
1.
Scarlet Monastery Entrance Location
The entrance to Scarlet Monastery is located in Tirisfal Glades, to thenortheast of Undercity. Once you go in to the monastery, there are 4 doors, with each one leading into a different wing of the dungeon.
For the Cathedral wing, enter the locked door on the left. In order to unlockit, you need The Scarlet Key, which drops from a chest in the Librarywing. You can learn more about this in our Scarlet Monastery.

Layout of Scarlet Monastery Cathedral
The layout of the dungeon is very easy to navigate, but there are far superiorpaths that can cut down the amount of trash you have to clear in order to reachthe last boss, as well as make it easier to deal with those that you want to pull.
When you move into the garden area, you will want to clear straight intothe water in the centre. Once there, choose a side of the dungeon to move throughand clear towards the stairs. Move up the stairs and do the same as before, clearing straight into the water.
Clear enough trash to make sure that you can safely pull mobs out of the cathedralbefore opening the doors and doing exactly that; pull the trash out and use thewalls to line of sight them. Once you have cleared the chapel (you can move insideonce enough trash has been cleared), the bosses will be right in front of you.If you do not clear all of the mobs, the remaining trash will pull when you engagethe boss.
After killing them, you can head to the room on the right side of the altarand you will find a torch on the wall that you can interact with. Doing so willopen a room with High Inquisitor Fairbanks in it.

Notable Trash in Scarlet Monastery Cathedral
The most important thing through this dungeon is to be extremely careful inhow you pull the trash. Space is very limited unless you want to pull more trashthan is necessary, so you should try to plan your path before proceeding througheach area. Always pull the mobs back, using walls to line of sight where possible, rather than charging in and engaging them in the open.
In the cathedral especially, you should pull the mobs out of the building andinto the courtyard to avoid any runners pulling more trash.
The Scarlet Abbots must be interrupted to prevent their healing andthe Scarlet Wizards should be killed quickly, as their instant AoE cancause large damage very quickly.
Remember that trash can respawn in this dungeon, so make sure you do not pulltoo slowly.

Bosses in Scarlet Monastery Cathedral
5.1.
Scarlet Commander Mograine and High Inquisitor Whitemane
- Scarlet Commander Mograine
-
Crusader Strike
Divine Shield
Hammer of Justice
Lay on Hands
Retribution Aura
-
Be sure to clear all of the trash inside the Cathedral before engagingScarlet Commander Mograine. While you will engageScarlet Commander Mograine alone at the start of the fight, these twobosses are fought at the same time.
When the fight begins, you will fine Mograine by himself; he hits very hard, but there is very little that can be done to prevent this, as it is mostlyunpreventable damage. He will stun players with Hammer of Justice andcast
Divine Shield, but little can be done to prevent these. Wait forhis bubble to expire and, if you have a Priest, you can dispel the stun.
- High Inquisitor Whitemane
-
Deep Sleep
Heal
Holy Smite
Power Word: Shield
Scarlet Resurrection
-
Once Mograine is dead, High Inquisitor Whitemane will enter the fightfrom the doors behind the altar. She is essentially a Priest, mainly casting Smite throughout the fight. Simply burn her down until she casts
Scarlet Resurrection, at which point the fight truly starts.
Once Whitemane resurrects Mograine, make sure your tank picks up threat assoon as possible to avoid him killing your DPS or healer. Kill Whitemane first, then burn down Mograine. Your healer should make sure to save Mana for this phase, rather than wasting it in the first 2 phases.
