Develop weapons platforms: Users can import new 3D content in industry standard (e.g. FBX) formats, quickly configure animations, and implement custom weapon systems, ballistics, and AI, and sell these new platforms to VBS users.
Customize the UI: Developers can extend the VBS user interface by adding multiple rendering viewports, or spawning external windows, which can contain camera views attached to VBS entities such as UAVs. Custom interactive HTML5 web-based UI elements can be created and overlaid onto the simulation.
Integrate custom hardware: With VBS Builder Edition, developers can quickly integrate custom hardware interfaces for VBS. VBS Builder Edition has an extensive API that allows developers to inject data from external devices, such as Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), or use VBS simulation to drive external devices, such as motion platforms.
Model AI behavior: VBS Builder Edition includes the VBS Control Editor, which allows the construction of new behaviors for soldiers and vehicles within VBS. Using the editor, developers can create new behaviors based on custom doctrines, e.g., for emerging adversarial threat.
Use custom physics models: Developers can integrate external systems/simulations into the VBS environment. For example, fully validated external physics models can be integrated to replace the default vehicle physics provided by VBS fully.
